Yesterday, Blake Cornwell, Director of Business Development, attended Restaurants on the Rise: California's F&B Scene at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa.

The event brought together restaurant operators, emerging brands, and industry professionals to explore the concepts and trends reshaping Southern California's food and beverage market. It was a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and gain insight into how innovative dining experiences continue to evolve and meet changing customer demand.

Bingham Construction was proud to be the presenting sponsor for this year’s Covenant Living at Mt. Miguel Benevolent Care Celebration.

This marks our 5th year supporting the program, with nearly $50,000 contributed to help residents maintain quality of life during financial hardship.

Mt. Miguel raised over $150,000 this year, an incredible effort by Brian McBee, Allison Bechill, and the entire team.

“We’re honored to support a program that ensures residents receive the care and dignity they deserve,” said Jeff Bingham, CEO.

Special to celebrate their 60th anniversary alongside our own, and we look forward to continuing our work on campus.

No film crew in this hallway.

No staging. No reshoot. No production day.

Just completed project photos and a little AI help to show the space the way it actually feels when it's finished.

Same build. Better presentation.

At Bingham Construction, AI is being used as a tool to elevate completed project content and virtual interior design assets, helping clients better visualize the finished product and the possibilities before construction even begins.

Industry Insights: Our CEO, , discusses the good news and bad news about construction costs going into summer:

First, the bad news.  Subcontractors are passing along fuel cost increases from the ongoing Iran war, tariffs on miscellaneous steel products are being passed on by manufacturers and third party distributors to subcontractors, shipping and freight costs have gone up due to spikes in diesel fuel, affecting all levels of supply chains.

Now, the good news.  Due to the ongoing lull in commercial real estate activity over the past 6 to 8 months, subcontractor pricing is not necessarily increasing due to above factors, and has in many cases decreased, as they struggle to maintain backlog to keep their employees working.  Backlog is an ongoing issue across the board for GC’s, architects, and brokers.

Due to continued geopolitical uncertainty, now is the time to start construction projects while pricing is still relatively low.  We’re seeing many clients push back job starts only to experience cost increases due to the material and fuel cost volatility mentioned above once they’ve decided to move forward, and typically a few months after initial pricing was submitted.

In addition, we’re confident some good news is headed toward the CRE industry by means of the ultimate resolution of the Iran war, which may significantly reduce fuel prices, the lowering of interest rates by the federal reserve, and the typical increase of backlog afforded by projects and tenant activity during the summer.

That’s why preliminary budgeting, design, procurement, and subcontractor input matter more than ever.  We can help project owners and stakeholders identify the most cost-effective approach to their project even if the prevailing strategy is to sit back and wait.  Please feel free to reach out to us today to learn more.

From 3D to reality.

Working from Maggetti Elam’s design, our team developed detailed renderings that allowed this space to be fully understood and refined before construction began. In close coordination with Coffman Engineers, every system was aligned early, eliminating friction once we hit the field.

What follows is a direct translation of vision into build. Where coordination, sequencing, and ex*****on come together to deliver exactly what was planned.

What separates Bingham from other GC's?

It’s not one big thing. It’s the small details, the in-house collaboration behind the scenes, and the way our team works together long before construction starts.

Here’s a quick look inside the Bingham process.

CRE in May 2026: Capital is back, but it’s picky.

Leasing is now a construction conversation. Owners are balancing refinancing pressure with higher TI and build‑out costs. The real advantage in 2026 goes to teams that move fast, with clear scope, budget, and timing.

We put together a quick snapshot of what’s happening in CRE this month so brokers, owners, and asset managers can see how this affects leasing, TI, and repositioning.

Bingham’s role is simple: help turn that coordination into forward momentum when a project needs to cross the finish line.

Completed Project: Rancho Bernardo Inn | Rancho Bernardo, CA

Bingham Construction has completed a roof renovation and structural repair at Rancho Bernardo Inn.

The project involved the removal of existing roof tile and deteriorated wood gutter systems, followed by the installation of new two-piece clay tile, rebuilt wood gutters with PVC liners, and new downspouts to improve long-term performance and drainage.

With the roof system fully restored and exterior improvements completed, the building now reflects both enhanced durability and a refreshed architectural finish in line with the property’s high standards.
