Aztec Aerial Racing SDSU We are the Aztec Aerial Racing team, AAR. We build & race drones every Saturday at 10AM. Open to all majors. Come fly with us!

We are SDSU's Aztec Aerial Racing team; also known as AAR. Our AAR team is made up of a handful of dedicated, inspired, and upward-driven students. We build, race, and modify our drones to perform high-speed maneuvers. We are a SDSU Club that is open to all majors. Meetings for AAR are in the AIAA Lounge every Saturday at 10:00AM.

Hello again racers!

If you want to fly drones with us this year, you must first become a FAA Authorized Pilot.
All you have to do is go on to this website: https://registermyuas.faa.gov/
It only costs $5.00 & takes 2 minutes.

Happy Flying!

You need to register your aircraft if it weighs between 0.55 lbs. (250 grams) and up to 55 lbs. (25 kg) and you are not flying under the Special Rule for Model Aircraft.
