Even as 2018 is winding down, some of us are gearing up for new roles in 2019. Things will be busy for Lockrul’s Melissa Hayden next year as she joins the CREW San Diego Board of Directors as the Sponsorship Director for 2019. Here she is pictured with the current and future board of directors during the transition meeting held last month. Congratulations on joining the CREW Board of Directors!

Happy Holidays from Lockrul Construction! As the end of the year approaches, we’ve been busy wrapping up projects such as this tenant improvement for Plum Healthcare. This project featured polished concrete, open ceiling concepts with specialty lighting, and sliding glass assemblies in the conference room and collaborative areas. The reception and break rooms also included custom millwork along with colorful upholstered seating.

Lockrul recently completed work at The Niki Group in Carmel Valley. This 3,200 square foot shell space was transformed into the new home for this boutique real estate investment company. The project included Venetian plaster walls, industrial office fronts and polished concrete floors throughout. Lockrul worked closely with the building owner, architect and tenant to complete this project on schedule and in budget.

This past month Lockrul finished up work at CV Sciences. This 25,000 sq ft tenant improvement involved building office space and a lab area for this pharmaceutical and consumer product based company in Sorrento Valley. The project included a custom reception desk, break room millwork, feature wall, industrial office fronts and a collaborative open ceiling environment. The permitted project was completed on a fast-pace schedule to accommodate the tenants move into their new space.

Happy New Year! Lockrul is already gearing up for another busy year but we would like to take a moment to look back at some of the great projects we worked on in 2017. One highlight was completing Psyonix, located in Emmes’ 1 Columbia in downtown San Diego. This two story, 31,404 square foot tenant improvement included a full build-out of offices, break areas, conference rooms, and reception area. A new stairwell was built to connect the two floors to create one continuous space. This fun project included custom millwork, a mosaic backsplash, and murals of their popular video games. We would like to thank our clients and vendors for a successful year and look forward to working with you all in 2018!
