What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. But is it also good for humans? What about our pets?

Transdifferentiation 🦠 antioxidant-rich cellular strategies 💊 genetic mutations 🧬When it comes to regenerative science, Mother Nature really is that girl. And she gave us the blueprint to harness her power through biomimetics.

Since biomimetics replicate naturally occurring processes, there’s no reason we can’t make interspecies applications. Mimio already targets mitochondrial efficiency, enhances NAD+ production, boosts autophagy, and reduces oxidative stress. So why not extend those benefits to our pets with a biomimetic boost? Sounds pretty paw-some if we do say so ourselves. 🐾

If we’ve learned anything from this series, it’s that masters of regeneration run rampant in the animal kingdom. We’re paying close attention and learning whether we can take any cues from these longevity champs and apply them to humans…or…our four-legged besties at home. 🐾🧬 Because who wouldn’t want to help their fur babies live their best lives?

Picture this. It’s 1789. Marie Antoinette is powdering her wig. Her workers are secreting a nutrient-rich substance. She slinks over to her balcony, about to make her now-iconic proclamation, “let them eat royal jelly!” *record scratch*

Ok, something’s off. Maybe our anecdotes got mixed up, but a beehive isn’t all that different to revolution-era France.

Queen bees eat exclusively royal jelly—a nutrient-rich, creamy substance produced by worker bees—and it pays off. In fact, royal jelly is precisely how the queen bees come into existence and proceed to outlive their commoner counterparts by 40x.

Loaded with proteins, vitamins, and unique bioactive compounds, royal jelly triggers genetic changes that supercharge development, fertility, and longevity.

What royal jelly is to bees, Mimio can be to humans. By tapping into similar science, Mimio supports cellular vitality and healthy aging, helping your body function at its best.

Whether it’s cake, jelly, or Mimio, one thing’s for sure–it’s good to be queen.

Wrinkly skin, buck teeth, no hair, lives in their mom’s basement–errm…lives a “subterranean lifestyle”–naked mole-rats aren’t exactly winning the rodent Bachelor. However, when it comes to cellular health and longevity, there’s no one else more worthy of a rose. 🌹

With an astonishing lifespan exceeding 30 years, naked mole-rats’ time on earth dwarfs their average rodent cousins. These odd little creatures are natural-born biochemists, born with an abundance of hyaluronic acid which provides potent cancer resistance, exceptionally efficient DNA repair mechanisms that fend off detrimental mutations, and specialized proteins to minimize cellular wear and tear.

But that’s not even the most impressive feat. Naked mole-rats’ metabolisms adjust in low-oxygen environments, allowing them to thrive underground without typical oxidative stress. They’ve obviously never heard of Mimio, which is clinically proven to help reduce oxidative cellular stress. Maybe if they had, they could finally put some clothes on and see the light.☀️

Everything costs an arm and a leg nowadays and everyone is feeling the effects. Everyone *except* newts and salamanders.

No matter how much things cost, these creatures have the unique ability to regrow limbs and vital organs thanks to specialized tissue called blastema. Made up of undifferentiated cells that rapidly divide and multiply, blastema tissue regenerates the damaged or missing part.

Learning how to mimic blastemas within the human body would be transformative for regenerative medicine, potentially helping us heal faster and more efficiently.

Thankfully, our bodies do have some amazing regenerative abilities, but there’s not much we can do about inflation.

“immortal jellyfish”, begging the question…is ignorance truly bliss?

It may be, but the real reason for the immortal jellyfish’s longevity is because of its Benjamin Buttonesque superpower–transdifferentiation.

During the regular aging process that we and other animals experience, cellular damage accumulates in the body leading to wrinkles, cognitive decline, disease vulnerability, and other signs of aging.

Immortal jellyfish on the other hand…their mature cells reset to an earlier developmental stage, repairing damage and effectively rebooting their lifecycle. This can go on indefinitely, rendering them “biologically immortal.”

Pretty impressive stuff from a creature without a brain. 🧠

While we have yet to achieve biological immortality, Mimio can help your cells turn on their own systems for longevity and survival—supporting cellular vitality, metabolic function, repair, defense, and healthy aging from the inside out. No tentacles required.

In the animal kingdom, size matters. But how exactly?

Long story short, big animals typically live longer. However, a long life presents more opportunities for cellular turnover and a big body means well, more cells. These two factors stir up the perfect storm for accumulated mutation and cellular damage which can ultimately cause mitochondrial dysfunction, telomere reduction, and increased cancer risk.

Many large species, however, seem to have longevity cheat codes. Like the giant tortoise, which has evolved to have a slower rate of telomere shortening.

Telomeres are structures that encapsulate the ends of chromosomes to protect your DNA. As cells regenerate, telomeres get shorter and shorter, effectively leaving DNA increasingly more vulnerable to age-related diseases.

In humans, lifestyle factors like smoking, stress, and obesity can have a significant effect on telomere shortening and pace of aging. We may not have developed these superpowers just yet, but we can activate similar effects through regenerative states like fasting…or using Mimio!

Myokines or yours?

Engineers at MIT conducted a study that explored the relationship between exercise and regeneration and, big surprise, the results were positive.

Picture a wet sponge–apologies, not the best visual. While resting, the sponge retains liquid. But once it’s squeezed, everything gets released.

Those are muscles during exercise. When muscles contract, they expel healing biochemicals called myokines. Neurons exposed to these myokines grew 4x faster than those that weren’t. 🤯

What does all of this mean exactly?

Well, not only is exercise good for your mental and physical health, which we already knew, there’s a direct correlation between exercise and accelerated nerve healing. So, working out isn’t just about breaking a sweat, it’s about breaking down and rebuilding at a microscopic level.

What’s cooler than being cool? 🧊Cold exposure therapy.

Spring is right around the corner so low temps are probably the last thing you want to think about. BUT, when you embrace the cold, your body's not just shivering – it's transforming. From boosting Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs) for repair to firing up mitochondria for heat instead of energy, cold exposure is a full-blown cellular workout. It primes your cells for resilience, shifts your fat metabolism, and even remodels your tissue.

This physiological response to rapid cold exposure has been shown to reduce inflammation and improve mental clarity and alertness while also making you more resilient against stress, proving it’s cool to be cold.

Have you ever wondered why meditation is referred to as a practice?
Because it’s really hard to master. Just when you think you’ve been in the zone for at least a half hour, you check the clock and realize it’s been 2 minutes a la 🍽️🙏❤️.

It requires dedication and resigning to that fact that you will fail, and that’s imperfectly ok. Luckily, 10 minutes is enough to lower stress hormones, improve focus, and increase grey matter AKA the stuff that makes you smarter.

Studies show meditation molds our brain, enhancing areas responsible for memory, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. And it doesn’t just benefit your mental health, meditation is a whole-body cellular workout, lowering blood pressure, reducing inflammation, and even potentially slowing aging.

Fasting is the official sponsor of springtime. OK, not really. But it really should be considering spring’s the season of rebirth, refreshing, and regeneration.

From burning fat to producing brain-boosting ketones, fasting flips the switch on your cell’s survival mode, optimizing function and kicking off a cellular spa day (hello, autophagy!)

Longer fasts can lead to amplified fat burning, mental clarity, and even stem cell activation for tissue repair.

While fasts are not recommended for everyone–if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, elderly, or take insulin, for example, steer clear–the benefits are pretty universal.

By providing the same molecules your body naturally produces during a 36-hour fast, Mimio helps propel you into this sustained regenerative state, without the hunger pangs.
