Tiny gallery turnings to go atop huge Eastlake library shelves we are creating out if whole cloth. Old growth, sinker redwood. All of the turnings came from a single stick, and there are 144 of them in all.

Poked my head in a door to see how the floor finishers had done with their top coat on one of our jobs today. Love those 135 degree french knots I designed.

Couple of large, sinker redwood, built-in bookshelves that we recently designed, built and installed. Carving Hector Bezanis, from a pattern designed by Roland Courtenay-Bishop. Finishing by Nicole Smith. I swear that if this job site is ever actually finished I will come back and get pictures of all this stuff when the site protection is gone. We have been working on this house since 2016.

Improving upon Neutra's materials... stainless steel retrofit post bases, will be epoxy set into the original wall. The originals were mild steel angles set directly in the concrete, with the inevitable result that they rusted off. The threaded rod will be the only thing in the concrete. Like most modernist installations, there is no place to hide an error. Alignment must be absolute. Once the concrete contractor sets the forms, we will set these in their final place.
