JinkoSolar has announced that its Malaysian facility has become its first overseas “RE100 factory” through its full-scale use of renewables, 100% of the electricity used in the production and operational activities supporting the factory’s 7GW solar cell and 7GW module capacity being green in nature. This is also China’s first overseas manufacturing facility to be powered entirely by renewables.

The two main methods of sourcing the clean electricity required are external procurement and an in-house solar rooftop installation, the former being achieved through utility-scale power purchase agreements (PPAs) with local grid or hyperscale operators. The annual purchase of the 0.3 billion kWh required to run the Malaysia factory makes JinkoSolar the largest solar corporate buyer of renewable energy in South East Asia.

“This milestone achievement keeps JinkoSolar on schedule to meet its ultimate goal of being 100% run by clean power. It also provides a fresh reminder of the huge rôle a solar pioneer company like JinkoSolar has in leading a society-wide transition to renewable energy,” commented company VP Dany Qian. “We will always make the biggest positive impact on the environment by providing customers with technology that enables them to reduce their carbon footprint, and this goal reflects the shared values of our customers, partners and investors.”

In a gust of good news, a new National Renewable Energy Laboratory study found that U.S. distributed wind energy:

Could profitably provide nearly 1,400 gigawatts of electric generating capacity if deployed
Has the potential to provide millions of electric consumers with clean power.
That means distributed wind energy can play an important role in achieving the federal government’s goals of 100% clean electricity by 2035 and a net-zero-carbon-emission economy by 2050!

My Grandmother always cooked tasty food. But one day, she put a burnt pie in front of my Grandpa.
Not just a little burnt, but black as coal.
I waited to see what my Grandpa would say.
But he just ate the pie n asked how my day was.
Then i heard my Grand Mother apologize to him for his dinner.
I'll never forget his response.
"Dear, i like ur pie."
Later, i asked him if he had told the truth.
He put his arm on my shoulder n said, "Ur Grandma had a tough day at work."
"She was tired."
"The burnt pie didn't harm me but, a sharp word could've hurt her."
We all make mistakes.
We shouldn't focus on mistakes but, support those we love.
