In a previous post I promised I’d share the story of the palm tree that can be seen in this photo! Well guess what? It’s story time!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meet Chuck. Chuck is a 100 year old Canary Palm Tree, beloved not just by the homeowners, but by the neighborhood! 🥰 He is a well known focal point in the area.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With all of that love, you can imagine the concern over something happening to Chuck while we were doing ground up renovations! Can you imagine if this 100 year old tree was hurt during the project?! 🥺 A consultant came monthly to give Chuck a check-up and make sure he was a-okay.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Despite his being nestled within a pretty tight spot, our team was able to keep Chuck’s best interests in mind throughout the project and make sure he was still standing healthy and proud for his neighborhood! As you can see, he’s even taller than the house (he’s kind of a show-off 😉). We love when nature has such a reach and span that it impacts an entire neighborhood, but it can also add a lot of pressure to a project! It’s a great reminder that sometimes within a project, there are outside elements just as important as the home itself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Chuck is irreplaceable and when it comes to something so special, there is no room for error and attention to detail is crucial. We love the outside spaces of a home just as much as the inside, and if you don’t believe us, just ask Chuck!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, have you seen this house and the way it opens up for indoor-outdoor living? With Chuck in tow, this outdoor space definitely passes the vibe check! 😎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The next time you decide to embark on a home improvement project, remember that we cover all branches of home renovation and are here to help you put down roots! 😉🌴
