📋 California Cannabis Pesticide Testing Regulations Are Changing

The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) has finalized updates to pesticide testing requirements that will be implemented in two phases.

Phase I - October 1, 2026

• Updated action limits for select analytes
• Standardized significant figures
• Changes to required CAS numbers for Chlordane and Abamectin
• Removal of the “CAT I” and “CAT II” classifications

Phase II - April 1, 2028

• 14 additional analytes
• Changes to Captan analysis
• Updates to various action levels
• Changes to laboratory-required limits of quantitation
