Cleaning copper is an essential step in the fabrication process.🧽

This step, called resist stripping, allows us to remove any remaining photoresist on the surface of the copper before acid etching and board lamination.

If any residue is left behind, it will affect the build down the line and can cause defects. A comprehensive resist stripping produces a clean copper, provides a strong layer for bonding, and yields consistent results throughout all layers.

Where copper lining comes into play ⚡

Acid etching begins with entire panels of copper being prepared to be etched into trace patterns and other features required in the board’s design. It carefully selects the parts of copper we want removed.

Keeping dimensions accurate and maintaining impedance targets ensures we have a reliable etching.
