🇺🇸 Manufacturing doesn’t happen without the people behind it.

This Labor Day, we’re taking a moment to recognize the engineers, operators, technicians, assemblers, inspectors, and everyone else who keeps American manufacturing moving.

From PCB fabrication to assembly, it takes skilled people at every step to turn a design into a finished product.

Gorilla Circuits will be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. We’ll be back Tuesday and ready to get back to work.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day. 🇺🇸 🦍

🧪 When a PCB build requires deeper analysis, having the lab onsite matters.

The Gorilla Circuits Silicon Valley campus has onsite dry and wet laboratory capabilities supporting PCB manufacturing, testing, and analysis.

Our in-house capabilities include:
🔬 Full Chemical Analysis Lab

⚡ IST (Interconnect Stress Testing)
Thermally cycles PCB test coupons while monitoring resistance changes to help identify potential failures in vias and multilayer interconnects.

🔎 Cross Sectioning
Examine the internal construction of PCB builds and analyze critical features within the board.

Having these capabilities onsite gives our teams the ability to perform deeper analysis and verification when a build calls for it.

🦍 More manufacturing capability. Trusted worldwide.

🔩 Complex PCBs don’t get built on equipment alone.

High-reliability manufacturing demands both advanced equipment and experienced people who know how to use it.

Gorilla Circuits continually invests in new fabrication equipment to expand our capabilities and give our team the technology needed to tackle demanding designs.

Shown here are several of our mechanical drills and one of our laser drilling systems, supporting the demanding designs and tight requirements our customers bring to production.

From standard builds to complex, high-layer-count PCBs, our fabrication capabilities are built to handle the challenge.

⚙️ What looks like a hole is actually the start of a connection.

Our drill room is where the foundation for PCB connectivity takes shape, with operators running a range of equipment to create the features that connect PCB layers.

Gorilla Circuits offers mechanical, laser, and X-ray drilling, supporting everything from standard vias to more demanding PCB designs.

For certain builds, a second drill operation after solder mask application is required to complete specific features.

🦍 Your PCB design deserves more than an automated quote.

Every PCB design file is custom quoted by our expert team at Gorilla Circuits’ East Coast office in New Hampshire.

That team includes DFM engineers who review design files and create stackups, helping answer technical questions and working directly with customers when clarification is needed.

Need help developing your stackup? We offer complimentary PCB stackup designs to help establish the right layer configuration for your build.

From quoting to manufacturing, you have a team that understands what it takes to turn a PCB design into a finished board.

Real engineers. Real collaboration. Real manufacturing experience.

🦍 What does quality look like inside a Gorilla Circuits PCBA build?

It’s not one inspection at the end. It’s a series of checks built into the process from the start.

Every build moves through multiple layers of verification, from components and programming to solder paste, thermal profiles, first article inspection, AOI, X-ray, and electrical testing.

Our quality process is designed to catch issues early, verify the build, and keep problems from moving downstream.

🔍 Every detail matters!

Every PCB assembly at Gorilla Circuits goes through AOI inspection to identify part placement errors, misalignment, incorrect orientation, and solder joint defects.

And for customers who need additional electrical verification, flying probe testing is also available on finished assemblies, extending testing beyond the bare board.

More inspection. More verification. More confidence in the finished PCBA.

🦍 Why X-ray a PCBA twice?

Every leadless device on every Gorilla Circuits PCBA undergoes 100% X-ray inspection twice:

🔍 SMT Stage
X-ray inspection checks for shorts, opens, and voids before the assembly moves further through production.

🔍 Final QA
The same boards are X-rayed again during FQA, providing a second inspection point before the job is cleared.

What matters most can be hidden underneath the component. That’s why we build redundant inspection into the process, with X-ray verification at both the SMT and final QA stages.

Two inspection points. 100% coverage.

🔥 Every PCB assembly has a different thermal story.

That’s why we don’t rely on a one-size-fits-all profile.

Every job built at Gorilla Circuits gets its own thermal profile, verified with our Moleto system to dial in the reflow oven for that specific build.

Gorilla's reflow ovens and wave solder machines use nitrogen generated in-house, helping optimize soldering conditions and achieve strong, consistent solder joints.

Different boards. Different requirements. The process gets tuned to the build.

⚙️ Before the first board runs, we verify the setup.

In circuit board assembly, a small setup mistake can become a big production problem.

That’s why our FUJI pick-and-place process includes a verification step before production gets underway.

Once the feeders are set up, a separate program runs the machine through one component from each feeder. Those components are placed onto a dedicated feeder list, where each part is measured again to verify that the correct component was loaded into the correct feeder.

It’s a simple concept:
Set it up. Check it. Then run it.

That extra verification helps catch feeder setup errors before they make their way into an assembly, adding another layer of process control to every PCBA build. 🦍
