Position Description: Quality Assurance Helper for Machine Shop
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Precision full service CNC Machine Shop in business for 20+ years
Summary
Independently and under the guidance of the Quality Manager, Quality Control Inspector performs and documents inspection operations on product throughout the manufacturing process. Training would be provided to the right candidate and there is potential for growth.
Responsibilities
* Proficiency with manual inspection tools. Must have ability to apply correct inspection methods and techniques to perform inspection in a timely manner.
* Ensure all inspection tooling are kept inside inspection. If tooling is taken out of inspection, make sure it is documented in the inspection tool log.
* Ability to work with machinists to maximize quality of manufactured products, and resolve quality related issues during the first article inspection and in-process inspection.
* Must have working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Quality Management System standard ISO 9001.
* Conduct Receive Inspection, First Article Inspection, In-Process Inspection & Final Inspection.
* Have basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications, and other common software.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College Degree not required.
Some experience and/or training in a mechanical inspection environment preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Inspectors must possess excellent communication skill which include but are not limited to the following:
Must be able to speak and write in English: any second language is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, vendor certifications, and purchase order requirements. Must be able to analyze and effectively communicate inspection findings and complete first article, in-process inspection, and non-conformance reports.
