As we begin Women in Construction Week, Eric F. Anderson, Inc. and Five Star Fixtures proudly celebrate the women who help drive our success every day.

More than 80 years ago, our CEO Kristin Anderson’s grandfather founded this company with a commitment to integrity and quality craftsmanship. Today, as a third-generation leader, Kristin carries that legacy forward as the head of our family-owned and women-owned commercial general contracting firm.

Our continued growth and success would not be possible without the strength, leadership, and dedication of the women across our organization. From executive leadership to project management and the jobsite, women play a vital role in shaping our projects and our future.

This week — and every week — we celebrate everything women in construction bring to the table and to the industry we’re proud to be part of. Rooted in Oakland since 1909, SMU began as a hospital school of nursing and has grown into one of the region’s leading health sciences universities—continuing its mission of educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.

This major expansion includes a 10-story, approximately 260,000-square-foot facility designed to support modern healthcare education with advanced classrooms, labs, and collaborative learning spaces in the heart of Downtown Oakland.
