Power Plumbing, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Service Plumber to become part of our team. You must be a friendly, professional, well-spoken individual with a positive attitude. Based in San Luis Obispo and serving all of San Luis Obispo County, Power Plumbing, Inc. provides the highest quality residential and commercial service and repairs. Must be able to sweat copper pipe and fittings, cut and thread steel pipe, cut and glue PVC pipe and fittings, and cut and assemble ABS pipe and fittings to specification without leaks, errors, and call backs. Must be ok with crawling in attics and underneath houses. Other construction skills is a plus, drywall repair, concrete repair etc. Must be knowledgeable with the safe operation of the tools of our trade. Any OSHA, safety training certification and any PEX, PE, gas, CPVC training cards a plus. Additional experience a bonus: Sawcut, jack hammer, and demo concrete or asphalt to expose offset, broken, leaking, or damaged plumbing. Whole house re-pipe knowledge a plus. Basic slab leak and ground leak detection knowledge and Plumbing Code knowledge a plus. The more you can offer the more pay we can offer. Pay depending on experience.
Responsibilities of the Service Plumber:
· Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
· Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
· Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures
· Light construction, carpentry, painting, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required
· Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates
· Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
· Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals
Requirements of the Service Plumber:
· Minimum two years experience as a Service Plumber
· Knowledge of water, sewer, and gas piping systems
· Must have experience in drain cleaning, repipes, sewer line replacements, and remodel work
· Hand tools are required
· Job will require occasional overtime and weekends
· Rotating on-call / after-hours is a must
· Must have valid driver’s license
· Be punctual and reliable
· Must be able to bend, lift up to 75 pounds, stoop, carry, kneel, climb, dig, sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time
· Must pass background check and have a clean driving record
