Would you trust a car mechanic who didn’t understand the engine?? Hiring a solar company without roofing expertise can really be risky if you think about it.

Justin is showing what we found after a solar installation on lightweight clay tile: extensive broken tiles beneath the panels—and damage that was never disclosed.
This could have led to major leaks and costly water damage. Fortunately, it hadn’t.
It’s why we typically recommend a “picture frame” installation for lightweight or clay tile roofs:
• Remove tile from the area beneath the panels.
• Install an appropriate roofing system in that area.
• Keep tile around the perimeter for a finished appearance.
The installation needs to protect your roof, not just produce power.
Before hiring a solar installer, ask how they’ll protect your specific roof type.
