I can never stress this enough! Residential filters should be changed once a month in the summer regardless if the sticker on the filter says “lasts up to 90 days”! Dirty and clogged filters are one of the number one calls we get in the summer months and it is a called that can always be avoided. When your filter gets dirty, you restricts the air blow in your system. That’s passing through the evaporator coil and the unit begin to freeze up, once this happens, airflow cannot pass through the coil, and you will get no cooling. Change those filters!

Maintenance matters! Customer was having issues with the unit keeping up and cooling properly. After getting some pressure readings, we found the issue pretty quick. Washing the outdoor unit is a part of all our residential maintenances it should be done a minimum of once a year, twice is better. Big changes coming to the HVAC world in 2025 keeping up on our certifications and understanding what is to come is very important. Knowing how to properly handle these refrigerants and correctly install will be key for safety for both the consumer and technicians. I have been giving all my customers a run down of exactly what is coming and what extra devices and safety systems will be needed in order to have these new systems. Working on finishing up this project! Home addition for a customer installing complete duct system as well as this Mitsubishi system. Honestly can’t thank my customers enough! Makes me feel good to know I have a positive impact on my customers! At the end of the day I’m looking to build lifelong customers not just a quick paycheck. My dad taught me along time ago to treat all customers with respect and kindness and if it was my home how would I want to be treated. This is in my eyes what has brought such success to my company and a constant growth in my customers! After a customers unit was not heating we arrived to figure out the issue found a 5amp fuse blown in attic, we replaced fuse and it blew right away. We disconnected the thermostat wire from control board and replaced fuse and unit powered up, went to the thermostat to confirm proper wiring and found the blue wire that was tied to common in the attic connected to the B (reversing valve terminal) on the thermostat causing a direct short! I guess the customer thought the B stood for blue when they put on the new thermostat! We cut back all wires and re wired thermostat properly since the sheathing on the wires was torn up. If your thermostat wires look like this you’re just asking for issues! Forgot to take an after photo but unit is back up and running!
