OT Playgrounds, LLC Play structure, swing, zipline designs, installation, repairs, and consulting for families and schools. Every family, child, and school has unique needs.

Specializing in therapeutic, custom designs tailored to kids with special needs (especially SPD, lack of coordination, muscle weakness, and autism). OT Playgrounds was started by pediatric occupational therapist and builder Charlie Johnson, OTR/L. As an occupational therapist, Charlie understands the sensory, motor, and social development that is tied so strongly to play and physicality. Without c

ertain types of sensory input and motor planning challenges, our children may become bored, "act out," or fearful of different activities. By specifically designing each play structure and play environment tailored to your children and family's needs/challenges, Charlie provides a fun, therapeutic environment that will challenge and facilitate growth/development for many years. Unlike other playground companies, Charlie and his team build these structures with room to grow over the years. These play structures and ziplines are built with the intent to add on as your children grow. Ideally, as they develop, THEY can learn to saw lumber, hammer nails, and build their own add-ons. Whether your child/children have SPD, lack of coordination, muscle weakness, autism, cerebral palsy, or just need a good alternative to technology/media, OT Playgrounds, LLC and Charlie Johnson, OTR/L can help.

Finished this great fort in October! A lot of great proprioception opportunities and vestibular with the very fast slide, fire pole and heights! Great family, challenging job. Love Fort Donaldson! (there is one structural tree)
