The loop is the biggest price swing on a softener job, and most people never see it.

When we put a softener in with a tankless, we leave a hard-water loop. Hose bibs stay hard so you are not watering the grass with salt. Kitchen cold stays hard so you are not drinking softened water.

Ion exchange swaps calcium and magnesium for sodium. Fine in the shower. Not what you want in a glass.

If you are going to get a softener, spend the extra and put the loop in first.

That white crust on your faucets? You are drinking it.

Utah has the hardest water per capita in the nation. The crust is calcium and magnesium, the same minerals as your Tums, and the exact same scale is settling into the bottom of your water heater every time it runs. The heater works harder, costs more, and fails years early.

Your house is not too old to have good water pressure.

Weak shower, slow faucet, a dishwasher that drags on forever. Low pressure touches everything you do with water, and in Utah it is one of the most common calls we get.

The first thing that tells us where to look: is it one fixture or the whole house? One fixture is usually a clogged aerator or a partly closed shutoff, often a 10-minute fix. Whole house points at the pressure reducing valve, the main line, or hard-water scale narrowing the pipes.

We do not guess. We put a gauge on it and check before quoting anything, because the honest answer might be a pressure reducing valve, not a repipe.

Welcome Utahs newest JOURNEYMAN!!!

Bensen!

Bensen was employee number one. And it’s hard to undervalue how much his friendship and support has ment.

There were days that the only reason I kept going was to not let him and his family down.

I taught him how to use pliers! How to change disposals, and put in tankless water heaters. I used to sit in the van for hours on what should have been 20 minute projects. So he knew I was there but could learn how to do it himself.

We made hires to find him better mentors than me and help him be the best plumber he could! And now 4 years later he is a journyman! And a heck of a plumber!

Bensen is also an amazing man and father! We got health insurance because we knew he was having his daughter.

I have seen him grow so much in confidence, character, and skill. And when he is not being one of the best plumbers in the state he loves legos, wood working, and just recently took up x box with his coworkers!

I am so proud to have you in the team Bensen and grateful for all you have done for me with the your friendship, support, and trust!

A look back at our first few months alongside Make-A-Wish Utah, and honestly, words don't do it justice.

Partnering with Make-A-Wish Utah has been one of the greatest honors for our team. Through the Drive for Wishes and Trades for Wishes campaigns, we've gotten to witness something truly extraordinary: incredible kids having their wishes granted, surrounded by people who love them. The joy, the courage, the pure magic of those moments is something we'll carry with us forever.
