We are looking for help at our geotechnical engineering firm in the Salt Lake area, AGEC. AGEC has a positive, honest, work culture that feels a lot like a family - I have really enjoyed working there full-time for the last 33 years!
We are looking for laboratory and field technicians. Laboratory technicians perform tests on soil samples brought into the lab - which essentially means they get to play in the dirt, running dirt through sieves, rolling clay worms, and pounding it with a hammer to see how much it compacts. Field technicians perform observations and testing at various construction sites throughout the Salt Lake valley, where they can interface with contractors and engineers.
This opportunity is a great foot-in-the-door for anyone with an interest in engineering, math, science or construction. There are opportunities for growth inside the company, and the experience looks good on a college application or resume.
Positions are available for full or part time, with flexible hours and no previous experience is required. We are located in Sandy, Utah at about 9000 S and I-15.
