***HIRING*** We are looking to hire a Fleet Operations & Maintenance Mechanic for our Midland location!!
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, perform maintenance, and repair on light vehicles and equipment
• Service vehicles with fuel, oil, and coolant; perform preventive maintenance by checking items such as battery condition, tire air pressure, coolant and oil levels, and hydraulic and brake fluid levels
• Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently
• Perform and assist in the maintenance and repair of light, medium, and heavy vehicles, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment
• Conduct installation and removal of auxiliary equipment
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
• Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition
• Ability to operate and give instruction for proper operation of the light vehicles and equipment
• Ability to diagnose the failure of vehicles and equipment from the trade knowledge and to use diagnostic equipment and decide how properly repair
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; this includes the ability to operate, calibrate, tune, and synchronize, and perform a complex rapid adjustment on equipment, machinery, and tools such as motor vehicles, motorized equipment, mechanic tools, forklift, hydraulic press, battery tester, steam cleaner, power washer, and/or related materials used in performing essential functions
• Ability to explain, demonstrate and clarify to others within well-established policies, procedures, and standards. Ability to follow specific instructions and respond to simple requests from others
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of related experience required
• Physical Requirements: Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
• Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to load noises
• Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands as necessary
• Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
• Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
Special Qualifications/Requirements/Benefits:
• Must have valid Driver’s License & Social Security Card
• Must be able to pass drug test & able to obtain a medical card
• Reliable transportation and attendance are mandatory- we are 7 days a week company
• Competitive wage, paid weekly, with overtime for more than 40 hours per week
