Please join us in congratulating Alfredo Valencia and Nancy Sandoval on their 10-year anniversaries with Gray West Construction!

Over the past decade, both have made valuable contributions to the GWC team through their experience, dedication, and commitment to going above and beyond.

As our Senior Project Coordinator, Nancy is known for being hardworking, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Her project experience ranges from large-scale self-storage developments to in-line retail construction for clients like Sephora. Across a wide range of projects, Nancy consistently brings organization, flexibility, and a can-do attitude to her work.

Alfredo is an engaging Superintendent who brings a collaborative approach to every project. Known for being responsive, approachable, and a great teammate, he has contributed his experience across a variety of markets, including restaurant, high-end retail, and automotive. His project experience includes CAVA, Old Navy, Raising Cane's, and Warby Parker, among others.

Congratulations, Nancy and Alfredo, on 10 years with Gray West Construction! We appreciate your hard work, dedication, and everything you bring to the team.

Gray West Construction recently connected with students at California State University, Long Beach ASCE’s 1st Annual Building Connections Career Fair and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona'S ASC Construction Mixer to share industry knowledge and recruit for our upcoming internship program.

Our internship program has helped launch successful careers in construction, with former interns growing into roles such as Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Business Analysts.

At GWC, we excel when all voices, talents, and life experiences shape our decisions. Investing in emerging talent reflects our commitment to workforce development and to building opportunities for the next generation of construction professionals.

SUNGLASS HUT | LAS VEGAS, NV

Gray West Construction recently completed the build-out of a new 1,422-s.f. Sunglass Hut location on Las Vegas Blvd.

The project included a complete retail build-out within an existing shell space, featuring high-end luxury finishes, custom millwork, specialty glass, lighting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and storefront improvements.

The work required careful coordination within an occupied retail environment while maintaining safe access and minimizing impacts to surrounding operations.

LENSCRAFTERS | SAN DIEGO, CA

We’re proud to have recently completed a 2,984 SF interior build-out for LensCrafters at Mission Valley Center in San Diego.

The project transformed an existing tenant space into a new optical retail and examination facility, including a sales area, optical lab, pretest rooms, exam rooms, offices, and back-of-house spaces. Our team also coordinated electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and interior finishes to bring the space together.

We’re grateful to the LensCrafters team for the opportunity to work together and to our project team and trade partners for their dedication throughout the project.

KIDSTRONG | SUNNYVALE, CA

Our team recently completed our first project with KidStrong - the interior build-out of a 2,975 s.f. facility in Sunnyvale, CA, transforming the existing space into a facility focused on children’s physical and mental development.

The project included interior finishes, restrooms, architectural improvements, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, and signage.

We’re especially grateful to have received a letter of recommendation from the KidStrong Sunnyvale team following the completion of this first project together. The letter recognized our team’s professionalism, clear communication, responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail.

We’re thankful to the KidStrong team for the opportunity to work together and look forward to continuing to build on this partnership in the future.

Today, we closed out ***dePreventionWeek with a stand-down at our project at the Chino Hills Shoppes.

As we look back on the week, we’re reminded of the impact these conversations can have. Whether someone participated on site or joined virtually during our Thursday Safety Call, we hope at least one person found the courage to seek help, reach out to a loved one, or share resources with someone who may need them.

Together, we’re creating opportunities for our team to seek support, have meaningful conversations, and become advocates for su***de prevention in our industry.

We’re grateful for the way our team has embraced this important movement and for everyone who helped make this week meaningful.

A special thank you to Richard Stevens, our Safety Director, for leading these important conversations, and to all of our Superintendents and Project Managers for helping bring these conversations to our jobsites across the country.

This week, Gray West is proud to recognize Construction Su***de Prevention Week and stand behind this important movement as a .

Supporting su***de prevention in our industry means more than raising awareness.

Being a supporter means making space for honest conversations, looking out for one another, and taking meaningful action to support the people who make up our industry and supporting the organizations behind the movement.

Throughout the week, project teams across our jobsites will host stand-downs and moments of silence to honor those we’ve lost, support those who may be struggling, and remind one another that no one has to face it alone.

We’re proud to be part of this movement and committed to keeping the conversation going well beyond this week.
