Another tough call…

We found a system that hadn’t had a filter change or maintenance EVER from current homeowner living there for YEARS - system completely suffocated with dirt and debris

The sad part?
Even at almost 20 years old, this unit could’ve kept going.
But lack of care finally pushed it over the edge … right in the middle of a Los Angeles heat wave

Now the customer is down with no AC while we help them figure out the fastest emergency replacement option.

Spring in Valencia means it's time to check in on those hardworking HVAC systems. This week, we found a unit packed with leaves, dust, and debris—definitely overdue for a deep clean. The coils were covered, drain lines needed flushing, and electrical components were checked top to bottom.

After a careful cleaning and tune-up, we boosted the temperature split and made sure the system runs smoother, even though it's an older model. Keeping up with maintenance like this can help prevent leaks and keep indoor air quality on track. If your system hasn’t had a check-up in a while, it might be time to give it some attention!

Today a customer reached out to C&M for a second opinion after another contractor claimed they had “ripped ducting” and was pushing them to approve repairs on the spot.

With 30 years of experience, we can confidently say this type of damage doesn’t just “rip open.” The cut was clean, and the inside was spotless — meaning it didn’t happen naturally.
