Today, for , we are digging into our archives and looking back at our CBRE DTLA Global Headquarters project. This was a multi-floor project in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, completed in 2013.
CBRE's vision was to create an "untethered" office environment without traditional private offices, where employees have unassigned workstations in collaborative open areas with diverse work settings. Talk about being ahead of the curve! This project unknowingly highlights the concept of “work from anywhere” and inspires today’s post-COVID workspace.
It features cantilevered structures in a two-story atrium space with an interconnecting stair and major MEP infrastructure space. The atrium space captures about 3,000SF of previously exterior balcony space on the 25th Floor by extending the curtain wall out by approximately ten feet.
CBRE DTLA was the first commercial project awarded the WELL Healthy Building Certification by Delos Living, and is LEED Gold certified.
