Structural Demolition requires precision—especially when the roof structure remains 🏗️

We are mid-framing stage at our Arlington Park remodel. To expand the footprint, we are building a new concrete block master suite. Before knocking down the existing CMU exterior walls to expand, we engineered temporary shoring walls to safely support the entire roof structure before removal.

How do you permit construction that encroaches on a protected oak tree’s root zone? 🌳

At the Arlington Park Remodel, it required a strict, multi-step verification process with the City. By staking the addition and air-spading the soil, we gave the city arborist a clear look at the exact root sizes and positions relative to our future foundation. Inspection passed for future permit approval, and construction is officially underway.

Major structural changes underway at our Arlington Park project. 🏗️

- Redesigned non-load-bearing partitions into structural load-bearing walls to open up floor plan and gain ceiling height

- Truss alterations on existing Great Room trusses using 2x4s sistering and plywood gusset plates to achieve a vaulted ceiling

We are getting prepared to add on a concrete master suite addition and run underground utilities

Birds Eye View of our Newest Arlington Park Remodel 🦅

This ranch home will be completely transformed over the coming months. New standing seam metal roof, modern windows and doors.
Full interior gut, vaulting ceilings, all new MEPS, and addition of a master suite. Bringing this original home up to current standards and maximizing value.

Interior Demo is complete and we are finishing up the structural framing stage.

Developing a finish schedule early in the project ensures the stairs are sized and framed correctly in the field and the end product and design intent is executed during the finishes stage

The Holiday Drive Custom Home is moving through the MEP stage.

Recently dried-in the roof and installed exterior doors and windows.

This project features utilizing black aluminum frames. The oversized openings and amount of glass maximizes natural light throughout the home.
