The ReWire Story, A Family Story...
The ReWire story is a family love story of sorts. It begins with a family of seven, Mom, Dad and 5 Brothers (yes, a basketball team, and no not very musically inclined). In September of 2012 our beloved matriarch passed away. We vowed to support each other and stay in touch, just as "mom-mom" would have wanted us to.
We began holding weekly calls on Monday nights as part of our effort to stay connected as we all lived in various parts of the country. It was on one of these calls that someone suggested (pretty sure it was Warren) we start a business. Somehow, we had managed through our professional careers to obtain unique strengths and talents that naturally lent themselves to running a business.
Our self-identified swim lanes include sales, finance, information systems, marketing, engineering, health and wellness and executive management.
But, what should our business do?
We set out to answer that question by building a screening method for a business that had to include, amongst other things; a way to build wealth, establish a legacy, be sustainable and scalable and honor our father’s wife and our mom by giving back to others.
Well, we finally landed on energy advisory services after our brother Warren, a nuclear engineer and graduate of RPI went solar. He articulated a vision of the Solar Electric future and described how we could be a part of that revolution. After about a year of discussion and with all of us contributing we developed an innovative business model. Our value is to analyze and develop customized plans tailored to fit the needs of each prospective customers’ unique energy situation.
The ReWire Group was born!
Doing business as ReWire Energy, we use qualified vendor partners to implement and monitor the energy plans we put in place for our customers, to help them save money, improve comfort and use green renewable energy.
We've been in business for about 2 years in earnest and have now helped several homeowners, small businesses and a church, realize they can have choice and control over their energy situation. Somewhere along the way one of our customers dubbed us the "Energy Brothers".
We are going to have fun with this endeavor and plan to build a referral network using technology, family and friends. We will continuously educate the market and build toward the dream of the Solar Electric Economy.
As we grow and become more profitable we plan to give back through education scholarships in the name of our beloved mother Corella Brown Evans.
