There are many opportunities to meet with a customer onsite of their home build. Right from the start, a rural build requires an educational, consultative meeting to review placement of a home. Meetings like this one in Poynette this week can also afford an opportunity to be informed of processes underway in person and to provide sign-off’s. Kudos to our customers for being so responsive! ✔️✔️✔️ So excited!!

Here’s a breakdown of the steps to obtaining a new construction loan: 🚧

1️⃣ Find the Right Lender-
Look for lenders experienced in construction loans. Look to your builder for recommendations.

2️⃣ Get Pre-Approved
Determine how much you can borrow based on your credit, income, and down payment. This gives you a budget to plan your dream home.

3️⃣ Work with Your Builder
Collaborate with us to finalize your home design, budget, and construction timeline. We’ll provide the documents lenders need, so they can then have the specs appraised for approval.

4️⃣ Submit Your Loan Application
Provide the lender with all required documents (design plans, builder contract, financial details).

5️⃣ Loan Approval & Closing
Once approved, you’ll close on your construction loan. Funds are disbursed in stages as we hit milestones during the build. Part of our job as your builder is to handle these steps with your approval.

6️⃣ permanent financing! Once we complete your home and all invoices are paid we then release your certificate of occupancy. Your lender will roll your construction loan into a permanent financing mortgage and you can move into Your Dream Home!! 🎉
