If you've driven north on Highway 371 on your way to the Brainerd Lakes region recently, you've probably noticed some recent progress on the Camp Ripley Military Museum. Our crews have been making great headway for the exterior paving, colored concrete, and parade grounds for the outdoor exhibits. The decommissioned SSN-708 USS Minneapolis-St. Paul is also starting to take shape as a fantastic centerpiece for the outdoor sections that will be open in February 2026.

A great project put together by the minds at HGA, Camp Ripley, and Breitbach Construction Company.

Also, a big thank you to Knife River Corporation, for a generous donation of ready-mix concrete for portions of the exterior static pads, which will house helicopters, Humvee's and tanks.

Timeless; the one word that best describes a well built masonry structure. Our team at K. Johnson Construction have been putting their artistry skills to the test at this private structure in Minnesota. Meticulously hand crafted with each individual unit, this complex building is not for the faint of heart, but the end result is nothing short of spectacular.

Thanks to our friends across the pond at Petersen Tegl for supplying the brick, all the way from Denmark.

Work is progressing quickly at the Camp Ripley Military Veterans Museum. All floors and toppings have been completed, and site foundations are well underway.

The new 40,000 square foot museum will host a wide array of equipment, artifacts and educational areas for all to experience. Some of the equipment includes Vietnam-era helicopters, a WWII-era Stuart Tank, and a full-size recreation of the USS Minneapolis-St. Paul Nuclear Powered Submarine. On May 15th, K. Johnson Construction was recognized at the CentraCare Foundation event, LaGratitude, as Corporate Partner of the Year. We were honored to receive this accolade at the event, but we could not be in this position without the continued efforts and dedication from our employees, trade partners, customers and community organizers. We're fully behind CentraCare and their vision of making "Rural Life Healthier", as many of our employees live in the communities that the healthcare system reaches, and rely on the first-class services that CentraCare provides.

Since October of 2024, our concrete crew at the CentraCare Plaza in St. Cloud has been going non-stop on foundations, walls and have now finally topped out the last level for the new expansion project. Over 10,000 yards and still counting, we're nearing the end for our work scope at this structure. In May, our crews will start on foundations for the PT/OT Building on the same jobsite. We can't say enough how hard our crews worked through the cold weather, long hours and grueling days - and we're thankful to be a part of such a great, local project for our community!

Our team is wrapping up the foundations on the CentraCare Plaza Expansion! The concrete crew worked together with many partners to get nearly 1,200 yards of foundations completed in less than 50 days. With an average wall height of 18 feet tall, it took a group effort from all trade partners to get this completed.

Next up, 7,000 yards of elevated concrete decks starting the first week of January ✅

Our foundation crews have been putting in the work at the CentraCare ASC Plaza Expansion - they're well on their way to meet the milestones for the rest of the project. This project of over 10,000 yards will be our single largest concrete project in our company history!

Our masonry crew is putting their craftsman skills to work on this one, and showing that their ability to do complex work is some of the best in the industry! A custom built structure with high technicality and design, this project is showing the art of masonry is alive and well! This project incorporates Petersen Tegl Brick all the way from Denmark, and custom cut stone by ORIJIN STONE in Minneapolis.
