Not every staircase needs to be seen đź‘€
This custom hidden trap door blends seamlessly into the hardwood floor, hiding the basement stairs in plain sight. Clean lines, full functionality, and a little bit of “wait… where did that go?” magic.
At MNBuilt, we’re all about turning ideas into reality. Whether it’s hidden features, one-of-a-kind details, or full custom builds — if you can dream it, we can build it.

At MNBuilt, we don’t just build structures—we build the *finished vision*.

Every detail you see here started with intention. From the way this home sits into the landscape to the materials, textures, and flow of the spaces, it’s all thoughtfully planned to achieve a specific outcome. We believe the end result should feel effortless—but behind it is a highly intentional process.

That’s why we love collaborating with architects and designers early and often. When the entire team is aligned from the start, we can problem-solve proactively, protect the design intent, and elevate the final product beyond expectations.

It’s not about just getting it built—it’s about getting it *right*.

A luxury walk-in pantry transforms storage into a seamless extension of your kitchen — a curated, functional space that keeps clutter and prep mess out of sight so your main kitchen stays guest-ready. Think floor-to-ceiling shelving in mixed depths for small jars and large appliances, pull-out drawers for pots and pans, and open cubbies for baskets and bulk items. Combine deep adjustable shelves with dedicated vertical slots for baking sheets and cutting boards to maximize every inch.

Add a second fridge and a separate freezer to handle overflow, wine, or beverage storage without crowding your primary appliance. A second sink — ideally with a prep faucet and integrated soap dispenser — lets you rinse produce, wash hands, and clean up prep spills away from guests. Include a compact dishwasher or drawer-style unit if space allows to keep the workspace tidy during entertaining.

Lighting and finishes elevate both form and function: layered LED task lighting under shelves, a warm pendant or recessed ceiling fixtures, and easy-to-clean quartz or stainless countertops. Select cabinetry and hardware that match or complement your kitchen for a cohesive look, and incorporate glass-front cabinets or labeled pull-outs for a boutique, organized feel.

Finally, plan for workflow: place everyday items at eye level, store bulk goods on lower shelves, and keep seasonal or rarely used items higher up. With thoughtful storage design, a second fridge, and a dedicated sink, your walk-in pantry becomes a hospitality hub — efficient for cooking and discreet for entertaining. Ready to design yours?

If you’re thinking about building your next home, it should fit your lifestyle now while being ready for what’s ahead. This is what that looks like.

Clean lines, warm tones, and a view that does the talking.

This custom kitchen came together exactly how it should—functional, timeless, and built to be lived in. From the natural light pouring through those oversized windows to the seamless flow between spaces, every detail was designed with intention.

Matte black fixtures, custom cabinetry, and a bright, open layout create a space that feels both elevated and comfortable.

This is what happens when craftsmanship meets vision. 🛠️

Nothing beats the character of real hardwood. 🔨
We’re currently installing this beautiful hickory flooring in a custom home here in Sauk Centre. Hickory is one of the hardest domestic hardwoods, which makes it incredibly durable while still bringing a ton of natural character and color variation to the space.
Watching the room transform as each row goes down is one of the best parts of the job. The mix of grain patterns and tones in hickory is going to look amazing once everything is finished and trimmed out.
More progress coming soon on this build. đź‘€
