River Cities Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration offers a full line of HVAC services and installation from residential to commercial as well as industrial. Don Carlson, and what started as a one service truck operation, River Cities has grown to a fleet of 12 trucks; both for service and installation projects. On January 1, 2018 Eric and Shelly Christensen purchased River Cities from Don a
nd he remains an integral part of the business to this day. With over 100 years combined experience in the appliance and HVAC industry our small business remains vital to the region we serve in Illinois and Iowa. Eric and Shelly continue to build the business with customer service as their first priority and their family values carry through to each of their employees. River Cities offers 24-hour service on all major brands of residential furnaces, air conditioners, and boilers. Along with providing service to our valued residential customers, River Cities also offers service and installation of commercial HVAC equipment and commercial refrigeration equipment to the manufacturing and restaurant industries. Eric and Shelly have expanded the business and their Savanna location features a renovated store front (228 Chicago Ave.) customers can visit to view products first hand, visit staff, and to ask any questions they may have. In addition, they purchased Farley’s Home Appliances & Heating/Cooling in Dixon, Illinois November 2024. With the addition of Farley’s, their business has grown to include appliance service and repair as well as a showroom in Dixon with new appliances from brands like Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, GE, Café, Maytag, and Speed Queen. The River Cities and Farley’s future is bright and will be joined by Eric and Shelly's children, Maddy and AJ, in future years.
