Established in 1978, we provide expert engineering and surveying services nationwide, delivering quality services on time and on budget.

Incorporated in November of 1978, EMC began as a partnership of three professional engineers providing Environmental, Marine, and Civil engineering to the local municipalities, industries, and private developers. After five years, the firm had tripled in size and moved from its original offices on Liberty Street in Savannah to our present location in the heart of Historic Savannah downtown busines

s district. After ten years in business, EMC had grown to become one of the top three firms in the Savannah area with expanded services that included surveying, transportation engineering, and landscape architecture. In 1998, after twenty years in business, EMC had grown into a multi-disciplined regional firm with our main office still in Savannah and the first branch office in Statesboro, Georgia. Over the past ten years, EMC has expanded its service area to include Albany, Augusta, Brunswick, Columbus, Thomaston, and Greenville (SC).

We're proud to celebrate Upson County's APWA Georgia Project of the Year Award for the Thurston Well Replacement and Rehabilitation Project. This project strengthened the reliability and resiliency of the county's water system by replacing aging infrastructure, increasing capacity, and providing critical system redundancy for the community.

We were honored to attend the awards ceremony alongside our clients and project partners and are grateful for the opportunity to be part of a project that will serve Upson County for years to come. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Please join us in thanking Heather Yoshii as she wraps up her time with us as an Engineer Intern!

After serving five years in the U.S. Army, Heather joined our team as part of her transition into the engineering profession. Her adaptability, positive attitude, and willingness to learn allowed her to make meaningful contributions in a short amount of time.

Reflecting on her experience, Heather shared “The most valuable thing I learned was how engineering projects come together in the real world. I enjoyed seeing how the work moves from planning and design to actual solutions and learning from the team along the way. I would like to thank Stephanie Magnani and Joel Womack, who learned so much from in such a short amount of time. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunities and projects they gave me!”

Heather also credits her military service for preparing her for this next chapter: "My military experience has taught me how to adapt quickly and take on new challenges. I’m excited to bring those skills into my engineering career while continuing to learn and grow in a new field."

As Heather begins her next adventure, she will be moving to New York City, where she will focus on drinking water and water resources projects.

We're grateful for Heather's contributions and the positive impact she has made on our team. Thank you for your service, dedication, and hard work. We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter!
