Jenkins Robotics is comprised of two parts: VEX Robotics and FIRST Robotics. The game for the year is released sometime in May and students begin work not too long its release before school releases. The build picks up soon after school starts up in August. The VEX team is closely related to the school's TSA (Technology Student Association) club. 2014 is Herschel V. Jenkins' second year in FIRST Robotics. Team W.I.R.E. was founded in 2013 and is composed of students of all grade levels. The FIRST build season starts in January after the game kickoff. After that kickoff, we have six weeks to design, test, and build a robot specifically designed for the game.
