Summer in Maine has us thinking back to one of our favorite waterfront builds. ☀️🦞

A few years ago, our team had the opportunity to construct a one-of-a-kind restaurant for Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier at the edge of Portland Harbor. The project included restoring the pier, building a new lobster-buying station, and renovating the interior. One of the best features is the large picture windows that offer panoramic views of the harbor.

We're excited to share the completed addition for Main Line Fence Co, Inc., Maine's oldest and largest fencing supplier!

The new space includes office areas, conference rooms, and a kitchen to better support daily operations and team collaboration. From commercial guardrails to custom cedar arbors, Main Line Fence delivers quality craftsmanship across Maine, and we’re proud to have partnered with them on this project.

A new chapter in Maine’s veteran care. 🇺🇸 This past weekend marked the opening of the Togus VA Medical Center’s RRTP facility in Augusta, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Veterans can now receive residential treatment close to home without leaving the state.

Our team is grateful to have played a part in supporting those who have served. Thank you to everyone who helped make this important project a reality.

Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Today, we're taking a look back at two of our sustainable projects: Milliken Heights, a Passive House Certified development, and the USCG homes, a LEED Gold-awarded (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) project.

Our commitment to sustainable building goes beyond minimizing waste at the job site. While we prioritize on-site recycling and incorporate energy-efficient features into every project, we also focus on creating high-performance buildings that support long-term efficiency, enhance occupant comfort, and promote overall sustainability.

It's been over five years since we completed the Chebeague Island School, but it remains a great example of how our team tackles complex logistical challenges. 🏫

Island construction usually carries a 25–30% cost premium. To keep this project on budget, we collaborated with the Town of Chebeague Island and Brunner Architects to utilize an efficient off-site construction approach. By pre-building wall panels and minimizing barge trips, we maximized productivity and kept waste to a minimum.

The best part? Staying on budget allowed the town to reinvest in even more school improvements.
