They look great everywhere, on the Floor, on the Walls, and even on the Ceiling! ( As long as they don’t fall on your head… 👷). So what are my thoughts??

Like in this case where the homeowner came to us with an interesting proposition 🤔… “How do we turn the Attic into a Bathroom?!” and “How do I freshen up my Downstairs Bathroom?” Luckily she ran into us and was able to make her dream a reality 🏡!

Todays Construction How To: How to Build a Portico From Scratch ⚒️

Step 1: Dig a Place CMU Footings Below the Frost Line ❄️⬇️ (4ft for NY)

Step 2: Place Rebar Inside CMU and fill with Concrete

Step 3: Compact the Dirt under the Slab and Place a V***r Barrier on top of the Dirt 🚜

Step 4: Pour Slab on top of Gravel Bedding

Step 5: Set the Blue Stone Pavers atop Landing 🧱

Step 6: Set Wood Columns Atop the Landing with a Plate 🏗️

Step 7 : Build Joist System for the Hip Roof 🪜🔨

Step 8: Do your Math Right and Build that Hip Roof

Step 8: Install Sheathing And Roofing 💪

Step 10: Get off that damn Ladder and Call it a Day 😅
