Getting out to a large-scale construction site and seeing products in action is always valuable. This site is using 126 MaxiTrack mats as the surface for an onsite maintenance area, and the setup was impressive from start to finish. Real-world use continues to show why MaxiTrack is built for demanding environments.

The mats are delivering the strength needed for daily use while still offering flexibility where conditions demand it. Once installed, the mats are doing exactly what they were designed to do, and real-world feedback continues to reinforce that. Feedback from the crew has been insightful, particularly seeing how the mats perform under real loads.

When ground conditions matter, having the right foundation makes all the difference.

On a 14 month long tower crane installation at a ski resort, XtremeMat provided a solid, stable base that performed reliably from day one through the entire project. XtremeMat helped keep the crane level and within tolerance the whole time, even as site conditions and weather changed.

Installed correctly and fully bolted, XtremeMat allowed crews to work efficiently without disrupting the ground beneath the crane. The design also helped shed water away from the mats, which played an important role in maintaining ground stability over time.

This project is a great example of how the right matting solution can support heavy equipment, reduce downtime, and keep jobs moving smoothly from start to finish.

Snow on top. Pressure underneath.

These photos show how quickly winter conditions can threaten turf and access. Even with light snow, the ground below can be soft and easy to damage.

The darker area in the centre shows where tyres applied the most pressure. Thanks to the mat, that weight was distributed rather than cutting into the surface, helping protect the ground and keep vehicles moving.

Cold weather always finds weak spots.
