If you know Janet, you know how deeply she cares about giving back to the community. She never does it for the spotlight—she does it because it’s simply the right thing to do. She inspires us all to volunteer and give back to the community. Last night, she was honored with the Advocate of the Year Award. Congratulations!

Our Advocate of the Year is Janet F***h with J & D Tube Benders!

Through her role as President of the Workplace Volunteer Council, she consistently rallies people to step up and make a difference. She spearheads the annual Fill a Backpack, Fill a Need event, helping ensure students across Marathon County start the school year with the supplies they need, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

She also manages year-round inventory for hygiene supplies, socks, and underwear through the Back to Basics and Bare Necessities programs, making sure those essentials are available when they are needed most.

We’re proud to share that our employees collected 1,576 pounds of electronics for proper disposal through our partnership with the Good News Project!

Your efforts not only helped protect the environment by keeping e-waste out of landfills, but also supported a meaningful cause. All revenue generated from the recycling service goes directly into Good News Project’s programs—providing assistance to people in need.

Together, we’re making a difference—one device at a time! Special thanks to Dan Ott and Ryan Ott for their assistance in the event.

Big thanks to Nerdbird Food Truck for serving up a tasty lunch at J&D today. The food was excellent! We also want to thank Design Theory 19 for generously providing the lunch. It was not necessary but definitely appreciated!

Last week we had a wonderful time at our Annual Recognition Dinner which took place at Greenwood Hills. It was all about celebrating the dedication and achievements of J&D employee who reached exciting work anniversaries of 5, 10, 25 and 30 years and more. Their hard work, loyalty and passion continue to drive our success every day. Thank you to all the employees, family and friends that came out to celebrate – You make this place what it is!

Every Fall, J&D Tube Benders works with Good News Project to do an used electronics drive at J&D. Employees bring in their old TV’s, microwaves, electronics, house hold appliances, etc. to be recycled properly. This year we saved 1,981pounds of electronics from being thrown in the dump by delivering the electronics to Good News Project. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Every year, J&D Tube Benders looks forward to the Heavy Metal Tour. Today we welcomed 8th grade students from DC Everest and John Muir to tour our shop. It was fun to show the advancements in manufacturing as it relates to automations. Since last year’s tour we were able to show our new tube laser, two additional cobots in our bending department and an additional robotic welding cell. It is always amazing to reflect back to see how much J&D continues to invest in technology and automation. A huge thank you to all the employees of J&D for their efforts today. We could not participate in the Heavy Metal Tour without your contributions!

Yesterday we had the great pleasure to celebrate Dave Weber’s Retirement after 31 years of working at J&D Tube Benders. We can honestly say J&D would not be where we are today without Dave Weber. You certainly will be missed! Dave and his wife joined us for a retirement luncheon and we were able to convince them to take a picture with the F***h Family. We wish you the best retirement Dave, you definitely deserve it!
