Recently Ultra-short pulse lasers have been favored and applied with advanced technology for multiple Industrial applications to bring about cost efficient precision to micromachining.
The ultra-short pulse lasers, (approximately 100 femtoseconds to 10 picoseconds)
perform unique tasks in multiple industrial applications, particularly cutting, drilling, marking and other surface modification processes. Ultra-short pulse laser energy ablates with minimal heating so there is only a small heat affected zone. This improved process enables new and more complex product designs, improves product reliability, and lowers
overall production costs.

The new Mundt DB-241218-7 Axis machine is an advanced manufacturing application tool with more built in capabilities than any other machine. This complex ultra-short pulse laser utilizes Full Travel Field of View (FTFV) and allows for seamless machining over large areas. The machine is able to move from large to small parts without tiling. This special dual applications machine has 7 axis of motion that is ideal for producing complex shaped parts.
This Innovative Mundt DB-241218-7axis Laser Workstation is highly versatile, with the ability to do a multitude of possible complex motion applications required for advanced manufacturing for a large assortment of industries. LASER OPTIONS
Depending on the actual individual application required, the DB-241218-7Axis Workstation can operate with one laser, or multiple lasers. The basic DB-241218 can be purchased with one laser and 3 axis. When the need arises, you can augment the system with additional lasers, axis and tooling to suit any changing requirements you may have.
A single laser could be adequate to manufacture a complex part whereas an R&D facility could well utilize the capabilities offered by multiple lasers and additional axis
