Workiversary time! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Robert Quesada and his 13 years with Venn Construction. What makes it even better: Robert’s journey started back when our office was still the Arizona branch of RJM Construction, before we transitioned to Venn Construction in 2015.

Robert brings 30 years of construction experience to the team, with leadership roles spanning Superintendent, Project Manager, and General Superintendent. Robert’s steady leadership and deep expertise, especially in coordinating safe work around operating facilities, helps set the standard for how we deliver successful projects.

And if you’ve met him, you already know: he’s probably the nicest person you’ll ever meet. Outside of work, Robert loves time with his family, especially his grandson, Cash.

Congrats on 13 years, Robert. We’re lucky to have you.

Dan Capanes is celebrating 9 years as a Superintendent, and that is a big milestone. Dan has been the steady hand behind a wide range of projects, leading everything from state-of-the-art surgery centers to high-end office tenant improvements. No matter the job, he brings the same level of pride, detail, and leadership that make crews better and clients confident.

When he is not on the job, you will probably find Dan riding his Harley through Arizona or at a hockey game.

Cal Newman is celebrating 7 years at Venn Construction. Happy Venniversary, Cal 👏

Over the years, Cal has served as a Project Engineer and our Surgery Center compliance expert. He is the go-to for keeping ASC builds safe, compliant, and inspection-ready. From HVAC to fire alarms to sensors, Cal handles it all.

In the office, Cal helps keep our culture fun. This year he ran our fantasy football league and also manages our weekly “Burrito Bowl” during football season. He is always up for a challenge and quick to help someone in need.

Outside of work, you can find Cal at the gym at 5am, hiking trails with his dog on the weekend, and driving his twin daughters to soccer practice and tournaments.

Thank you for everything, Cal. Looking forward to what the next year brings!

Have you ever seen the inside of a commercial laundromat?

Building an ImageFIRST medical garment laundry is all about one-way flow: soiled receiving (dirty side) → wash/extract → transition → dry/finish → inspect/pack (clean side) with strict separation the entire way. Making that happen takes serious electrical power, heavy ventilation for heat/steam/humidity, and custom-engineered overhead transport, often hung from steel beam supports, to move product fast and keep operations clean.
