The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (Official) in Thunder Bay, Ontario has equipped its officers with Axon VR. 🇨🇦

By immersing trainees in realistic scenarios before facing them in the field, officers can build the muscle memory and stress responses needed for split-second decisions, including scenarios involving community members, crisis victims and individuals experiencing mental health episodes.

We're proud to support agencies like NAPS investing in the tools and training that help keep communities safe.

"A truly effective, immediate non-lethal weapon would actually obviate the need to ever use lethal force."

For the first time, the Boldly Go Podcast recorded live on stage in front of 3,000 people. Rick Smith and Mike Wagers welcomed special guest Dr. Steven Pinker, world-renowned cognitive scientist, Harvard professor and bestselling author, to explore reducing violence in public safety.

“Ma’am, are you hurt?”
“Is anyone else inside?”
“Do you need help?”

Now those questions can be asked and answered in a community member’s native language because language should never be a barrier to receiving help.

Stockton Police Department has joined agencies across the country using Real-Time Translation in more than 50 languages directly through existing Axon Body 4 cameras, turning what used to be pauses, gestures and guesswork into immediate communication and building the kind of trust that makes the community safer for everyone.

We remember the heroes who gave their lives to protect ours. Their sacrifice lives on in the communities they served, the families they loved and the people who carry on their mission every day. We honor you always.

As Fort Worth prepares to welcome the world for the 2026 World Cup, its 911 teams are leaning on what they call a 'hidden worker' to make sure dispatchers never miss a beat.

That 'hidden worker'? It's Prepared's AI-powered technology.

The city is using Prepared tech to help emergency communications teams translate calls in real time, improve caller location accuracy and support faster responses. In recent trials, AI triage handled 26% of non-emergency calls, freeing up dispatchers to focus on the pertinent emergency calls.

With the world's biggest stage bringing millions of multilingual visitors and the complexity that comes with it, Fort Worth's 911 teams are ready.

Every wreath laid. Every candle lit. Every name read.

Each one a reminder of what it means to serve and what it can cost.

Those who put on a badge do so knowing the risks and they show up anyway. For their communities, for strangers, for people they will never meet. That kind of commitment deserves more than recognition. It deserves remembrance, the kind that stays with you long after the moment has passed.

To the families standing at those memorials holding that weight: know that you are not standing there alone. To the officers still out there answering the call, and to those who carry the physical and emotional marks of their service: your sacrifice does not go unseen.

A drone first on scene would ruin every scary movie.

Responding to reports of someone suspected of squatting inside a fire-damaged house with multiple hazards, officers deployed a Skydio drone to get first eyes on scene and better understand what they were walking into.

Seconds later, the suspect appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the drone mid-flight. With real-time aerial awareness through Axon Air DFR, Brookhaven Police Department's officers were able to safely approach and take the individual into custody.

NYPD said it best: “Heroism and heart from NY’s finest.”

When officers responded to a woman in crisis on the ledge of a Brooklyn high-rise, they met the moment with patience, compassion and courage. As officers talked to her and worked to keep her calm, ESU teams rappelled onto the ledge to meet her where she was. Together, they were able to bring her to safety.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, this footage is a reminder that some of the most important moments in public safety begin with empathy, communication and human connection. We’re grateful for the officers and first responders who show up every day to help protect life.

Please join us in remembering the 363 heroes named in this year’s Roll Call.

Behind every badge is a commitment to serve and protect others, often in moments of uncertainty and risk. Each of these 363 officers made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their communities, and their courage continues to inspire us to help build a safer world for all.

To the officers we’ve lost, and to the families, friends and agencies who continue to carry their memory forward: we remember you, we honor you and we thank you.
