Join us for an upcoming webinar exploring the methodology behind the new Return-to-Sport Assessment and why traditional performance measures may not tell the whole story.

Dr. Powers will share his clinical perspective on identifying movement strategies that may contribute to injury risk, the principles that guide his approach to treatment, and the research behind the Powers Return to Sport Assessment.

Last week, we stepped away from the office for a team lunch and activity!

After lunch, we split into teams and competed in a scavenger hunt through the Museum of Illusions in Scottsdale. We found some pretty great illusions along the way!

Its always nice to spend time together outside of the office!

Teaching biomechanics just got a little easier.

Explore Noraxon’s Lab Experiment Library for ready-to-run classroom labs designed to help students move from data collection to analysis.

Each experiment includes a lab guide, sample Noraxon data, a report template, and suggested student questions.

Explore experiments covering:
⚡ EMG — muscle fatigue, gait symmetry, muscle contractions & more
🏃 IMU — gait, jump analysis, functional symmetry & ergonomics
📈 Force Plates — coming this fall!

More experiments are on the way!

The Powers Return to Sport Assessment is grounded in peer-reviewed research by Straub & Powers (2025) examining movement quality during functional athletic tasks.

The research provides a structured framework for evaluating how an athlete completes a task, not simply whether they can complete it.

That methodology has been translated into the Powers Return to Sport Assessment, which evaluates movement strategies across a standardized series of activities using 2D markerless analysis.

By adding a more systematic view of movement quality alongside traditional return-to-sport measures, the assessment provides clinicians with another source of information to support return-to-sport decision-making.
