The first Memorial Day was a ceremony to honor the fallen soldiers of the Civil War on May 30, 1868, at what would become Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. We have taken this day to honor the fallen every year since.

The mission of Freedom for Heroes is to ensure that life can be lived fully by those who were left behind, returned to life, and mourn the loss of their brothers and sisters.
