We are incredibly proud to announce that Pivot Custom Pools has been awarded the ICONIC Award — the highest honor at the 2026 ICONIC LIFE Design Awards — in the category of Excellence in Building: Technical Achievement in Structural Engineering.

For us, building extraordinary pools has never been just about what you see on the surface. It’s about the engineering beneath it, the challenges overcome, and the relentless pursuit of craftsmanship that makes the seemingly impossible possible.

From complex hillside construction to intricate structural designs, we believe the most remarkable projects are born where architectural vision meets engineering precision.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team, the expertise of our engineering and trade partners, and the trust our clients place in us to bring ambitious visions to life.

We don’t just build swimming pools. We engineer experiences that stand the test of time.

Thank you to ICONIC LIFE and the judges for recognizing the craftsmanship, innovation, and technical excellence behind our work.

Some pools are built on flat lots.

Others have to become part of the mountain.

This project demanded far more than forming a shell and filling it with water. Building into a steep desert hillside meant thinking about the pool as a structure first—working through elevation changes, access, excavation, retaining conditions, drainage, structural loads, and the logistics of moving men and materials through a site where there was very little room for error.

Then came the precision.

The pool had to land at exactly the right elevation to connect with the architecture of the home while creating the dramatic raised perimeter you see from the valley below. The spa, steps, water elevations, surrounding walls, hardscape, and landscape all had to come together as one coordinated system.

That’s what makes hillside construction different.

You aren’t simply building a pool. You’re engineering a structure into the terrain.
