CMS is hitting rewind on remote patient monitoring. The proposed CY2027 Physician Fee Schedule includes several changes that could significantly affect how RPM and RTM programs are staffed, reimbursed, and scaled:

- Contracted clinical staff may no longer be reimbursable.
- A separately reportable initiating visit would be required.
- RPM and RTM reimbursement could be reduced.
- Seventeen RPM and RTM codes could be consolidated into four G-codes.
