Job Title: Comptroller/In House CPA

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Comptroller to oversee our financial operations and coordinate directly with large regional CPA accounting firms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial planning, reporting, and accounting practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining financial health, and coordinating with our CEO on acquisition strategies and appropriate deployment of capital.

Responsibilities:

✅Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals, providing recommendations for improvement.
✅Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, statements, and forecasts to the executive team, lenders, and other stakeholders.
✅Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and forecast future financial trends.
✅Accounting Management: Supervise and manage accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. The role requires intimate familiarity with Quickbooks Online and best accounting practices.
✅Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
✅Audit and Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to legal and company requirements.
✅Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, monitor liquidity, and optimize financial investments to maximize returns.
✅Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, assess financial viability of projects, and provide strategic recommendations.
✅Team Leadership: coordinate with the finance/accounting team of outside CPAs and accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
✅Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

✅Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification strongly preferred.
✅4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in real estate development or related industries.
✅ Intimate familiarity with Quickbooks Online.
✅Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
✅Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
✅Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
✅Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning and ex*****on.
