Complete Home Transformation | Bryan, TX
It’s hard to believe these before & after photos are from the same house!
After 2 solid months of peaks and valleys, early mornings, late nights, problem solving, and a lot of hard work — we officially brought this early 2000’s home into its next chapter.
I didn’t plan my “before” photos well enough to truly tell the whole story, so here’s a better look at everything that went into this transformation:
✔ Removed all existing flooring and installed new finishes throughout — carpet upstairs, LVP downstairs, and tile in the bathrooms, wet areas, and laundry room.
✔ Removed the original builder-grade built-ins throughout the home. There were a lot of them, and opening up those areas completely changed the feel of the house.
✔ Closed in the second-story balcony overlook above the kitchen to create additional usable space in the upstairs game room while adding a sound barrier from the great room below.
✔ Opened up the kitchen wall to create better flow, improved functionality, and a more open layout.
✔ Completely rebuilt the kitchen with all new custom-built cabinetry, updated storage solutions, new appliances, new lighting, and a fresh design built around how families use their kitchens today.
✔ Rerouted kitchen electrical and updated lighting layouts to better fit the new design.
✔ Completely gutted and rebuilt the primary bathroom — new walk-in shower, freestanding tub, custom vanity cabinets, stone countertops, fixtures, hardware, and finishes.
✔ Redesigned the primary closet by adding a custom dividing wall with built-in shoe storage inside the closet and a new linen closet with barn doors on the opposite side, conveniently located near the bathroom and laundry room.
✔ Turned the unused space below the staircase into functional pantry and bulk storage areas with separate entrances — taking wasted square footage and making it work.
✔ Installed new toilets, fixtures, door hardware, appliances, ceiling fans, and window treatments throughout the entire home.
✔ Updated window casings, door casings, and windowsills throughout the main level to give the home a cleaner, updated look.
✔ Completed extensive drywall repairs, texture matching, and a full interior repaint from floor to ceiling.
✔ Removed the deteriorating backyard deck and replaced it with new concrete stairs and an oversized landing area designed for outdoor seating and entertaining.
✔ Rerouted two irrigation zones to accommodate the new backyard layout.
✔ Repaired and re-wrapped all exterior columns with new cedar — 12 total.
✔ Completed a full exterior repaint from top to bottom, giving the home a completely refreshed curb appeal.
Before we put the finishing touches on everything, several neighbors came over to walk through the house — and their reactions made all the long days worth it. They couldn’t believe they were standing in the same home.
We took 25 years off this house in 2 months.
This home served its previous owners well for more than two decades, and now it’s ready for another family to create memories here for the next 25 years.
