Nautican Propulsion congratulates American Marine Corporation and New Pacific Industrial on the start of construction on a pair of new 122ft ocean tugs.
The tugs will feature Nautican Propulsion 120” Integrated Propulsion Units which incorporate Nautican high efficiency nozzles, high skew propellers, pre-swirl stators, and triple differential rudders all combined into one unit for simplified installation. The Jastram steering gear is mounted directly on the headbox for independent control of each units.
This system provides an unmatched combination of thrust and maneuvering performance.
The units are coupled with Marinsa Pacific Wabtec 8L250MDC 3017 hp (6034 hp total) Tier 4
marine diesels and Karl Senner, LLC Reintjes WAF 3455 reverse reduction gearboxes for a
projected bollard pull of over 85 MT.
The design is by Glosten and the Winches are Markey Machine LLC.
