Performs a variety of tasks such as organizing production materials, painting, and assisting in other areas as needed.
• Organizes material throughout the production process
• Cleans material prior to painting, grinds welds and prepares steel for prime paint or other finish
• Keep track of piece marks for each part and clearly mark on finished piece
• Loads and unloads truck by hand or by use of forklift or overhead crane. Secures items to prevent damage during shipment
• Applies prime paint and finish coat as needed to exterior surfaces of products
• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Sets up and operates shop equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to use over head crane
• Must pass drug test
• Knowledge equivalent to high school diploma
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Forklift
• Airless paint gun
• Tape measure
• Various hand tools
• Various power tools
• Metal cutting saws
• Overhead Cranes

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing environment, warehouse

Job Opening for a Project Manager!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Manages structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication projects to ensure customer's needs are met and completed on time and within budget.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with customers and manages all correspondence regarding the steel fabrication in their projects.
• Interprets architectural and structural design drawings to prepare shop drawings showing dimensions and material.
• Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work.
• Checks drawings for accuracy.
• Submits shop drawings to customer for approval, communicates with detailer and customer.
• Purchases materials needed and maintains a purchase order log.
• Works with a schedule of values using bid proposal and customer requirements.
• Creates change requests and communicates all changes with customer in a timely fashion.
• Read and use methods in Quality Control Manual
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personal, customers, vendors to determine source of trouble and takes corrective action.
• Attends production meetings and reviews job status with general manager regularly.
• Schedules delivery of products.
• Prepares invoice details for products delivered to customer.
• Maintains well organized job folders and work space.
• Follows established procedures.
• Ability to draft detailed drawings.

JOB PREREQUISITES:
• Must pass drug test
• Must have advanced ability to read blueprints
• Must have advanced ability to read make calculations from tape measure
• Must have good English communication skills
• Must be able to lift 10 pounds
• Must have good time management skills

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SPECIALIZED TRAINING REQUIRED or HELPFUL:
• Three to five years of experience as a Project Manager in the steel fabrication trade
• Specialized training equal to five years of college
• High school diploma or GED
