"You can bring your whole self to work here." For Quigley Freedman, our Software Engineering Manager, showing up as your full self is the standard for how Omnidian should operate.

At Omnidian, culture is anchored in one of our core values: we treat others with dignity & respect. In a recent interview, Quigley shared why this is the best way for building a team that actually wants to be here:

"It is treating each other like people, like teammates, like fellow people on the same journey... Especially as a manager, I try not to treat my employees like pawns or grunts in the work."

We know that the transition to clean energy moves only as fast as the people driving it. By leading with honesty and diligence, we’ve created a space where innovation is fueled by mutual respect, not just metrics.

Cell defects cause 11-15% of BESS failures.

The other 85-89%? Balance of system components: HVAC, environmental seals, integration quality. The stuff standard BMS dashboards often miss entirely.

This is the gap between what your monitoring platform shows you and what's actually degrading your asset.

In our BESS technical operations webinar, Adam Alvita and Trevor Williams walked through why the first two years are the most critical window, and what proactive O&M looks like when you're managing these risks correctly.

The data is in, and it’s startling: solar systems with Rapid Shutdown Devices (RSDs) are 66% more likely to have critical safety issues.

In this episode of The Future Current, David Penalva, CEO of HelioVolta and SolarGrade, joins us to pull back the curtain on the unintended consequences of NEC 690.12. We’re looking at the hard technical reality of rooftop thermal events and the owner’s dilemma created by these requirements.

What we’re covering:
• Why the US is the only market requiring RSDs on commercial solar
• The 21 documented rooftop fires linked to RSDs since 2021
• Why EPCs policing their own construction quality is a structural risk for asset managers

Don't let a safety requirement become a long-term liability for your clean energy investment.

EDPR NA DG expanded their partnership with us to include monitoring for their entire US distributed generation fleet (150+ MW, 390+ assets), as well as full-scope O&M for select sites.

After four years of working together, they're scaling the relationship because our integrated monitoring and technical asset management approach delivers what distributed portfolios need most: operational simplification without sacrificing technical rigor.

The challenge with distributed generation at scale goes beyond asset performance. It involves coordinating consistent service standards across hundreds of geographically dispersed sites while maintaining unified visibility into fleet-wide performance.

Our solution combines proprietary monitoring technology with our solar portfolio experts and our vetted nationwide technician network. The platform catches performance degradation via proprietary algorithms. The portfolio team determines actionability, and the field team executes rapid, precise remediation regardless of location. The result: minimized OpEx, protected IRR, and one partner accountable for outcomes.

When evaluating O&M providers, look beyond technical capabilities to see if your vendor can deliver consistent ex*****on at scale while giving you the integrated data infrastructure to manage proactively instead of reactively.

This partnership expansion is validation that our model works for sophisticated portfolios that demand both.

72% of BESS failures happen within the first 24 months of operation.

Not year 10. Not year 15. The first two years.

If you're building pro formas around long-term degradation as your primary risk, the data says you're looking at the wrong problem.

Our recent webinar with Adam Alvita (Omnidian) and Trevor Williams (Solar Connect) broke down exactly what's driving that failure window, and what early-stage O&M and commissioning oversight actually need to look like to protect your long-term ROI.

The replay is available now. Definitely worth your time if you have BESS assets in your portfolio.

This is what a performance guarantee looks like in the field.

Our field service team members and partners are the backbone of reliable asset management. They're the ones climbing on roofs in 100-degree heat, diagnosing inverter faults in remote locations, and ensuring your assets perform as expected.

Every technician in our network is vetted, trained, and held to consistent quality standards. While these technicians can fix problems, they're ultimately focused on preventing them, too.

AI and machine learning are powerful, but they don't replace faulty components or tighten loose connections.

That takes skilled technicians who treat your assets like their own.

Truck rolls are one of the biggest hidden drains on your O&M budget. Here's what the data actually shows:

Across 1,341 commercial assets (573 MW), Omnidian clients averaged just 2.37 corrective service visits per MW, compared to the industry average of 6.

That's a 60% reduction in corrective maintenance costs. At $958 per visit, that math translates to $3,325 in savings per MW, per year.

The driver? AI-powered remote diagnosis that filters out non-actionable alerts and resolves root causes before a truck ever leaves the lot.

Fewer unnecessary site visits. Lower OpEx. More predictable cash flow.

"All equipment eventually fails." — Richard Gamburg, Technical Services Manager at Renewable Properties

Reactive maintenance is a margin problem. Every unplanned truck roll, every delayed fault resolution, every week of degraded output compounds directly into your IRR.

The operators who protect long-term asset performance aren't the ones with the best warranties on paper. They're the ones with the infrastructure to catch issues before alarms trigger.

That's the Omnidian model: RESOLV's AI-driven diagnostics identifying root cause faults early, paired with a nationwide network of local technicians who can actually close the loop.

No data silos. No finger-pointing between vendors. One accountable partner with a performance guarantee behind it.

Intertek CEA just flagged something the industry needs to hear. After auditing over 70GWh of lithium-ion storage projects and conducting 880 inspections in 2025 alone, they identified 3,370 issues, many of them invisible until commissioning or full operation.

The culprit? System-level manufacturing defects. The kind that pass cell-level QA, survive factory acceptance testing, and only surface once your asset is in the field.

And according to Intertek, fixing a defect in the field can run 10x more than catching it at the factory. When 75% of BESS manufacturing defects occur at the system level, including fire suppression failures and thermal management gaps, "it passed inspection" is no longer a sufficient answer.

Independent oversight matters. Not as a checkbox, but as a continuous layer of protection across the full asset lifecycle, from commissioning through operations.

Your BMS dashboard won't catch what was never wired correctly to begin with.

What are you doing to close the gap between factory QA and real-world performance?
