The first truck to go out in 2026 goes to the Wichita Airport Authority of the Eisenhower Airport (Kansas). They took possession of this 12 Ft Wet Rescue built on a Ford F550 crew cab.
The Wichita Airport Authority is a combined police and fire department so this truck was designed to serve several functions.
The front replacement bumper is a Buck Stop brand with an in mount Warn 12K winch. Also on the front bumper is a TFT Tornado series (fitting for Kansas) monitor with Hydro Chem dual agent nozzle. There is a HyperSight thermal imaging camera mounted on the monitor. The Unruh Fire custom console looks a little like the controls of a small airplane. The rear of cab has a custom storage box on driver side and the passenger side has rechargeable flashlights and locking brackets for fi****ms.
There is a 300 gallon tank with a 40 gallon integrated foam cell. The pump is a Hale HPX200-B18. The rear of truck has an Unruh Fire custom ARFF skid unit with a 500 cu.ft. dry chemical tank.
All of the emergency and scene light s are Whelen brand.
The graphics are done by our friends at Pfaff Signs.
Many thanks to the good folks at the Wichita Airport Authority!!
