What was once a boxed-in, closed off kitchen is now an open concept, bright, modern space designed for real living. This kitchen was the top priority of this remodel, but once the walls came down and the cabinets went up, the impact was beyond just one room.

By opening up walls and installing over 1000 square feet of new flooring, the transformation completely changed the feel of the dining room, hallway and the family room as well. The entire main living area now flows together seamlessly, feels larger, brighter, and more functional.

This house was built in 1910 and never had a bathroom in it. Sometime in the past this room was turned into a bathroom. In the past decade most of the house was renovated but the bathroom was in desperate need of an update. We gutted the room, added insulation, Codr Plumbing & Excavation rearranged the plumbing, we replaced all the woodwork to match the decor of the house, installed a new window with PVC trim to prevent rotting and we tiled the shower walls and floor and the results speak for themselves.

Christmas is right around the corner and as we shift gears and slow down to spend time with our families we have realized that it's been awhile since we last made a post. This bathroom had a hidden leak for over 30 years, slowly rotting the floor and substructure from the inside out. What started as a simple remodel turned into a full-blown rescue mission—removing mold, replacing joists, and rebuilding everything from the ground up.
