We were proud to join Dem-Con and Kanadevia Inova for the groundbreaking of their Anaerobic Digester Project—an important step forward for sustainable waste management in our region.

When complete in 2027, residents’ food scraps and organics from metro-area counties will be sent to this facility to be turned into energy instead of waste. The anaerobic digester will process 75,000 tons per year of organics that would have otherwise gone to a landfill, producing renewable natural gas (RNG) and biochar through a unique public/private partnership.

The facility will be located on Dem-Con’s Environmental Campus in Louisville Township and will serve Scott County, the seven-county metro area, and beyond—supporting Minnesota’s climate goals for recycling, waste reduction, clean energy, and long-term carbon neutrality.

Honored to serve as the general contractor on a project that delivers real, lasting environmental impact and helps move us toward vibrant, healthy communities without waste.

The panel—moderated by Jeff Hysjulien of RSP Architects—featured Michael Kerski (Shakopee, MN City Government), our own Bryce Hotzler (Greystone Construction), and Jason Haugen (Canterbury Park).

Shakopee—one of Minnesota’s fastest-growing cities—has its next track loaded and is ready to press play on its next chapter of growth. Fueled by Canterbury Park’s 365 acres of master-planned development, the area continues to see transformative projects like Winners Circle Development, new housing, Class A office buildings, restaurants and retail projects (Mr. Pig's Smokery, Bravis, OG ZAZA, DiscoverStrength, Badger Hill Brewing, Next Steps Learning Center), 55+ apartments (OMRY), the recently introduced Shakopee Social District, 19,000-seat amphitheater opening this summer, and much more in development.

Last week, our team had a great time attending the Minnesota Construction Association Awards of Excellence. It’s always energizing to connect with peers across the industry and celebrate the exceptional work being done throughout Minnesota.

A special highlight of the evening was having our Danny’s Construction Multi-Tenant Office Building recognized as an award finalist. We’re incredibly proud of the collaboration, craftsmanship, and dedication that brought this project to life and grateful to be included among so many outstanding teams and projects.

Greystone was proud to support the Mites Program of the Owatonna Youth Hockey Association at the Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Tournament in Mankato, Minn., this past weekend!

Both the Mites Silver and Mites Girls teams made it to the championship games. The Mites Girls team— the only all-girls mites team in the tournament—battled through two sudden-death overtime wins to earn second place, while the Mites Silver team brought home the championship trophy.

Special shout-out to Dave Bruder, Greystone Project Superintendent and coach for both teams. This is the kind of community building we love to see—on and beyond the jobsite.

The Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic is an annual outdoor, grass-roots hockey tournament held in North Mankato, Minnesota, dedicated to honoring 9-year-old Anthony Ford, who passed away from leukemia in 2006. The event raises funds for childhood leukemia research and provides youth scholarships, embodying Anthony’s love for the game and community spirit.

Huge thank you to everyone that made this event possible including volunteers, coaches, athletes, families, youth hockey organizations, and local business sponsors!

We enjoyed attending the Shakopee Chamber & Visitors Bureau's annual meeting and hearing about the Chamber’s impact in 2025—and what’s ahead for 2026.

A special moment for us was seeing the Chamber recognize Bryce Hotzler, our Development & Construction Manager, for his service as an outgoing board member. Bryce’s leadership and commitment to building connections helped create meaningful partnerships across Shakopee—including Greystone's involvement with Shakopee High School’s Academies Program and becoming a Champion of the Engineering & Manufacturing Academy.

We’re also excited to share that Bryce introduced Kristina O’Brien, Marketing Director at Greystone, who was officially sworn in as a new Chamber board member.

The Chamber does an incredible job bringing together small businesses, large employers, organizations, and city and government leaders to support economic growth, workforce development, advocacy, and the overall quality of life in Shakopee.
