Yesterday's work made her look like a complete aircraft again. Got some engine high powers in and a little troubleshooting for low power, frustration developed from not finding the culprit...the old idea of walk away and clear your head works, went to the hotel and it woke me up at 2 in the morning. Fixed it, paperworked it and got to do the fun part. Doc's reassurance was not convincing, he stayed on the ground! Zero issue check flight....Time to go West!

Well it's long since dark in NY, we have been working on the wounded Navion for 2 long days and she's feeling better after some surgery....the photo's show the nose gear hat, the primary mount for the extension/retraction torque link and drag link of the nose gear. This piece takes the brunt of the jolts when you hit cracks or potholes on pavement or grass. This one has been repaired before and it could have been better. This is just another reinforcement to the recommendation find a repair facility that is familiar with your type of aircraft! The right eye's know what to look for....stay tuned

Beautiful day in New York....Neil can't stay on the ground long with a sweet bird ready to break the surly bonds...Off he goes to Tennessee to get some grandbaby time. We wish him well as Doc an I stay here for a few intimate days with a wounded Navion...stay tuned...
