We are pleased to share that the Workstead Carriage House, our Connecticut Studio, is now open by appointment. The building incorporates pieces from new and soon-to-launch lighting collections, in the context of a 19th-century New England Carriage House. Located on co-founders Robert Highsmith and Stefanie Brechbuehler's historic property in the Town of Salisbury, the Carriage House is open for both personal and studio visits. Deck restoration and deck extension project for a new hot tub. The existing deck was power washed and a brightener was used on the wood prior to staining. The existing railing and posts were removed and replaced with a cable rail system. A hot tub platform was built at a lower elevation so that the hot tub would sit 18” above the deck. Once the hot tub was in place, a bench was built with a removable section for hot tub maintenance. New stairs with wide treads were installed. And two tall posts were included in the design for twinkle lights……why?…..because twinkle lights make everything better!
